Cleaning head fitted with a rotating brush
Technical area
The present invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaners equipped with a cleaning head, also called a vacuum cleaner nozzle, making it possible to vacuum dust and small particle size waste present on a surface.
State of the art
Vacuums equipped with a cleaning head are well known on the market, these making it possible to clean surfaces by suction for the evacuation of dust and small particle size waste based thereon. The surface to be vacuumed can for example be tiles, parquet, laminate, carpet or a carpet.
A cleaning head traditionally comprises a connection sleeve and a casing provided with a lower surface intended to be positioned adjacent to the surface to be suctioned and with a suction chamber communicating with the connection sleeve, the suction comprising a suction opening opening onto the lower surface of the casing and housing a rotary brush situated opposite the suction opening.
In particular in order to increase the efficiency of dusting on carpet of such a cleaning head, it is known to have the rotary brush drive system inside the latter. Indeed, such a configuration of the cleaning head makes it possible to dispense with the presence of belt and pinion to couple in rotation the drive motor and the rotary brush.
However, mounting a cleaning head equipped with such a rotary drive system can be complex and tedious, since such an arrangement of the rotary drive system requires the presence of a first rolling bearing and a second rolling bearing respectively disposed at each of the ends of the rotary brush to ensure proper positioning and centering of the rotary brush relative to the drive motor.
Summary of the invention
The present invention aims to remedy all or part of these drawbacks.
The technical problem underlying the invention consists in particular in providing a cleaning head with a reliable and economical structure, while guaranteeing improved suction performance and easy mounting of the cleaning head.
To this end, the present invention relates to a cleaning head for a vacuum cleaner, comprising a casing, a drive motor, a speed reducer coupled in rotation to the drive motor, and a rotary brush configured to be driven in rotation by the drive motor by means of the speed reducer, the rotary brush being removably mounted in the housing of the cleaning head, characterized in that the speed reducer is housed in the rotary brush and is fixed to the rotary brush of so that the speed reducer remains integral with the rotary brush during the extraction of the rotary brush from the housing of the cleaning head.
Such a configuration of the cleaning head makes it possible to decompose the drive motor and the speed reducer into two separate parts, which makes it possible to greatly simplify the mounting of the cleaning head, since it is then possible to dispense with the presence of a rolling bearing at the end of the rotary brush located on the side of the drive motor. Indeed, the positioning and centering of the rotary brush relative to the drive motor can for example be provided on the one hand by a rolling bearing located at the end of the rotary brush which is opposite to the motor d drive and on the other hand directly by the speed reducer. As a result, the speed reducer allows centering of the rotary brush remotely relative to the drive motor.
Thus, the cleaning head according to the present invention makes it possible to center the rotary brush with respect to the drive motor with a single rolling bearing, which reduces the weight of the cleaning head and the assembly time of the cleaning head. .
In addition, such a configuration of the cleaning head makes it possible to bring the drive motor closer to one end of the rotary brush, and therefore to ensure easy and optimal cooling of the drive motor and therefore to ensure improved suction performance at the cleaning head.

Advantageously, the speed reducer 21 is housed in the internal housing 16 of the brush body 14, and is fixed to the rotary brush 13 so that the speed reducer 21 remains integral with the rotary brush 13 during the extraction of the rotary brush 13 from the casing 3 of the cleaning head 2.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the speed reducer 21 is housed in a central portion of the brush body 14. For this purpose, the brush body 14 has an internal support wall 22 which extends transversely to a direction of extension of the brush body 14 and which is situated in a central zone of the brush body 14, and the speed reducer 21 is fixed to the internal support wall 22.
As shown more particularly in FIGS. 4 and 6, the speed reducer 21 has a coupling portion 23 coupled in rotation to a coupling piece 30 fitted on the output shaft 20 of the drive motor 19. In such a way advantageous, the coupling portion 23 and the coupling piece 30 have non-circular (and for example hexagonal) cross sections and are configured to allow axial movement of the speed reducer 21 relative to the drive motor 19 so as to allow the speed reducer 21 and the output shaft 20 to be uncoupled when the rotary brush 13 is extracted from the casing 3. The coupling portion 23 may for example have a hexagonal recess suitable for receiving the coupling part 30.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the speed reducer 21 is a planetary gear reducer. Thus, the speed reducer 21 comprises:

An elastic ring 32, also called a circlip, is advantageously provided on the internal sun gear 24 in order to maintain the speed reducer 21 assembled during the removal of the rotary brush 13. The elastic ring 32 prevents, or at least limits, a translation of the internal planetary 24 with respect to external planetary 25
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the rotary brush 13 also includes a bearing 33, such as a rolling bearing and in particular a ball bearing, interposed between the fixing part 17 and a support ring 34 located inside the brush body 14 and fixed to an end portion of the brush body 14 which is situated opposite the drive motor 19. The presence of the bearing 33 makes it possible not to drive the part in rotation fixing 17 when the brush body 14 is rotated by the drive motor 19. Advantageously, a damping element 35 is interposed between the fixing part 17 and the bearing 33. For this purpose, the part fixing 17 may include a receiving housing in which is mounted the damping element 35, the bearing 33 being disposed between an internal surface of the damping element 35 and a central portion of the support ring 34.
Advantageously, the cleaning head 2 is devoid of any bearing capable of cooperating with the second end 14.2 of the brush body 14 which is located on the side of the drive motor 19.
